This active DI box allows for optimum connection of musical instruments with unbalanced- high-impedance outputs to the balanced- low-impedance inputs of a mixer. Signal interference can be prevented even in case of long cable runs due to the balanced connection to the mixer. As an active DI box- this unit requires an operating voltage- for this unit a 9v PP3 battery (sold separately). The input connection is via 1/4" jack. The output is via XLR connector. Should hum loops occur- the ground connection between the inputs and the outputs can be separated by means of the ground lift switch.
