This men's ankle boot features genuine leather inner and insole, square leather laces and Olive Mohave leather upper. The rough out leather used to make the upper part of these rustic style boots is very special due to the Red Wing manufacturing technique which uses best quality, natural cow hives, which are flattened and tanned with chromium sulphates for long lasting durability, the use of natural tanning agents and softening with fish oil allow leathers to stay flexible and be more environmentally friendly. While most tanneries split, thin and weaken the hide to create the rough suede surface, Red Wing simply use the other side of the hide to avoid splitting or thinning the full-grain hides.
